Dear young person,


I know 2020 hasn't been what we wanted it to be. Yes, its just a bad year, not a bad life.


I know your mates already have their masters degree, their own cars and houses, but your earnings can barely take care of your needs; Igbo si na ebe onye oso ruru ka onye ije ga-eru (Ibo people say where a person who runs get to, a person who walks will also get there). Run at your pace but let God control the wheels!


I know your mates go on vacation in different countries annually, but you can only afford your neighbouring state or town; my dear go there, see your people and have the fun of your life. Heaven can only be  sweater than being happy and having those around you happy. It boosts the immune system baby!


I know your mates are all married with children, but you're still single; take your time, single sounds better than stupid. It is better to be safe than sorry.


Yes, I know your mates are rocking 30 inch human hair and all you can afford now is synthetic hair, rock it well!


I know Your mates are using iPhone x and Samsung Note 8, but you can only afford our regular Infinix, Itel or Techno, my dear flex it well. Is it not to snap pictures, make calls and be on social media again? Don't go and out do yourself!


It's okay not to be able to afford certain things now.


You are not living your life for anyone. God first, then you're living it for you. Before every other person, before family, your lover, your friends... you're living for you!


Its okay to be afraid sometimes. Its fine to doubt yourself, your capabilities... you're human. But don't let your doubts to get the better of you!


Don't ever compare yourself or your growth and progress to anyone.

Don't ever give in to societal pressure, you may not end well!

Don't let anyone make you feel less of yourself. Pay no heed to people who think you can't survive without them. You're enough!


Hey, everything in life is about timing and optics, your time will come. I'm not telling you to just relax, fold your arms, sit at home and do nothing. No! Go out there, keep doing the noble things you do, working hard and smart, pleasing God and being true to yourself, however, don't rush things that need time. Great things need time!


Great things do not only come to those who wait, but to those who work their asses out while waiting!

You have made it this far in life because God is keeping you. Being alive today and reading this is enough reason why quitting is not an option.


Hey, there are some battles you may have to fight more than once, same with some other persons. Everyone has got their own battles, fight yours with courage, don't give up for you victory awaits you!


Be ambitious. Have dreams, wild ones that may even scare you. Aim for the sun, so that if you fall, you land on the moon; either way, you'll still shine!


Live your good life. Live your dreams. Make sure to enjoy while you're at it because you only live once!


In the words of W. L. Sheldon, “Remember that there is nothing noble in being superior to some other man. The true nobility is in being superior to your previous self.” 


Challenge yourself to be a better version of you everyday. You're not in any competition with anyone!
