START LOVING AND TAKING GOOD CARE OF YOURSELF
If you feel like you're losing many things in life just remember that trees lose their leaves every year and they still stand tall and wait for better seasons to come to regain their leaves. Yesterday is already gone, tomorrow is not yet here. Today is already given to us which is the most important day of our lives yet. Be grateful to God, right your wrongs and start being intentionally useful with your life.
Love yourself enough to set boundaries and teach people how to treat you by deciding what you will and won’t accept.
At times I get disappointed in myself because I know I'm way better than some of the choices made and the things I chose to deal with. But I have learned that the person I have to ask for forgiveness from the most is myself. You must love yourself. You have to forgive yourself everyday, whenever you remember a shortcoming, a flaw, you have to tell yourself "That's just fine. It's okay, I won't do this again". You have to forgive yourself so much, until you don't even sen those things anymore. Because that's what love is like.
Treat yourself. Go for medical check-ups. Know the state of your health and wellness.
Grand gestures might feel good sometimes but in order to truly change your perception of yourself, you need to perform lots of small, seemingly insignificant acts of love and self-compassion. Instead of splashing out on expensive luxury items all the time, you should endeavor to;
° Live Healthy, eat healthy foods, get enough sleep, exercise regularly, and avoid drugs and alcohol. Manage stress and go for regular medical check-ups.
° Practice good hygiene. Good hygiene is important for social, medical, and psychological reasons in that it not only reduces the risk of illness, but it also improves the way others view you and how you view yourself.
° See friends to build your sense of belonging. Consider your circle. Make sure everybody in your boat is rowing, and not drilling holes when you're not looking. If you are the only one among your friends pushing, striving to be better, change circle.
° Try to do something you enjoy every day. That might mean dancing, watching a favorite TV show, working in the garden, painting or reading.
° Find ways to relax, like meditation, yoga, getting a massage, taking regular bath or walking in around your street or even a garden.
To be honest these things works like magic.
These days, I still feel myself slipping sometimes, but I catch it early and course-correct; so that I feel better about myself and attract more people who give me the respect I deserve. The change it has made, in terms of the quality of my life and my levels of happiness, is astonishing.
Ajahn Brahm said, “Love is loving things that sometimes you don’t like.”
Fake it until you become it. Miracles do happen from certain state of discomfort. You've gotta trust the process.
People may write you off. They will say negative things about you. Friends may despise you. Families may neglect you. But an entire sea of water can’t sink a ship unless it gets inside the ship. Similarly, the negativity of the world can’t put you down unless you allow it to get inside you. You are very important, never give up on yourself!
