START LOVING AND TAKING GOOD CARE OF YOURSELF

Image
START LOVING AND TAKING GOOD CARE OF YOURSELF If you feel like you're losing many things in life just remember that trees lose their leaves every year and they still stand tall and wait for better seasons to come to regain their leaves. Yesterday is already gone, tomorrow is not yet here. Today is already given to us which is the most important day of our lives yet. Be grateful to God, right your wrongs and start being intentionally useful with your life.  Love yourself enough to set boundaries and teach people how to treat you by deciding what you will and won’t accept.  At times I get disappointed in myself because I know I'm way better than some of the choices made and the things I chose to deal with. But I have learned that the person I have to ask for forgiveness from the most is myself. You must love yourself. You have to forgive yourself everyday, whenever you remember a shortcoming, a flaw, you have to tell yourself "That's just fine. It's okay, I won't...

TURNING YOUR WEAKNESS INTO STRENGTH

Image
"When life gives you lemons, you just need to learn to make lemonade." This popular saying highlights a profound truth: challenges and limitations are opportunities in disguise. Strength and weakness walk hand in hand—they are two sides of the same coin. Understanding this interplay is key to transforming your life. Understanding the Connection Between Strength and Weakness Strength isn’t the absence of weakness; rather, it exists alongside it. Weakness is simply the mirror image of strength, and the two are inseparable. When we try to view them as separate entities, we risk misunderstanding ourselves. True self-awareness lies in recognizing that greater strength often brings greater vulnerability. To grow, we must embrace both aspects of ourselves. How to Turn Weakness into Strength The journey to transforming your weaknesses begins with a mindset shift. Here are actionable steps to help you harness your strengths while addressing your weaknesses: 1. Embrace Your Weaknesse...

UNFULFILLED? YOU'VE GOT TO RISE ABOVE THE STORM

Image
Flash back to primary school days when we all set our goals and objectives. For example, I even had a dream that I should be or about to get married at 23. So I would have achieved a lot before turning 23. Lol. How realistic was that?  No where near again. Along the way, so many things became deterrents to some those childhood of dreams and many more. But we had to readjust, replan and reenergize to keep them alive to some extent. Sometimes we feel down, and we don't know the source of that sadness. You're feeling down, lost or scared and don't know what the reason for these emotions is, or how to fix your life. Not knowing the source of that pain can be upsetting. It's important to know that your feelings are valid. We all get to a point in life and these things like unfulfillment and not meeting goals begin to eat us up like cankerworms. You begin to feel as if what you do lacks purpose and is meaningless. You feel that any early ideas you had about having a meaning...

WAIT, BUT DON'T PUT YOUR LIFE ON HOLD WHILE WAITING

Image
WAIT, BUT DON'T PUT YOUR LIFE ON HOLD WHILE WAITING Waiting is one of God’s favorite tools to get our attention. There is always work to be done while we’re waiting. Sometimes the work is hands-on and physical, and other times it’s a solitary journey of soul-searching. So many people in the Bible waited but didn't sit back, fold their arms and watch things happen. While Noah waited for the rain, he got busy with what he had: a lot of wood and some specific measurements. He trusted and obeyed God while waiting. As Daniel waited, he remained faithful in prayer and firm in his convictions. He remained connected to God while waiting. While Joseph waited in prison, he didn’t waste his energy on the question, “Why?” (Though I imagine he asked that word, he didn’t let it drain him with dead-ends and non-answers.) Instead, we sense he focused his sights on answering, “What should I do now?” He did his best with each small task given to him, and he stayed close to God. As his sit...

YOU ARE NOT IN ANY COMPETITION WITH ANYBODY; STOP THE COMPARISON!

Image
“Comparison is the thief of joy, the pillager of profits and the pickpocket of prosperity.” — Marie Forleo Dear young person, I know 2020 hasn't been what we wanted it to be. Yes, its just a bad year, not a bad life. I know your mates already have their masters degree, their own cars and houses, but your earnings can barely take care of your needs; Igbo si na ebe onye oso ruru ka onye ije ga-eru (Ibo people say where a person who runs get to, a person who walks will also get there). Run at your pace but let God control the wheels! I know your mates go on vacation in different countries annually, but you can only afford your neighbouring state or town; my dear go there, see your people and have the fun of your life. Heaven can only be  sweater than being happy and having those around you happy. It boosts the immune system baby! I know your mates are all married with children, but you're still single; take your time, single sounds better than stupid. It is better to be safe than ...

DO NOT LOOK AWAY - CONSISTENCY IS THE KEY

Image
DO NOT LOOK AWAY – CONSISTENCY IS THE KEY "It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It’s what we do consistently." – Anthony Robbins Which one would you prefer: irregular success or consistent small gestures? Have you ever wondered how some people achieve massive success in their fields while others, despite working just as hard, seem to fall short? We might assume that those who succeed are simply more intelligent, ambitious, persistent, or perhaps luckier than those who don't. While these qualities are certainly important, the real game-changer is consistency . We often overlook the power of small, consistent actions because we’re so captivated by the idea of grand gestures. Yet, the people who consistently show up—regardless of the scale of their actions—are the ones who see lasting results. To be consistent means fully committing yourself to small tasks, actions, or goals, and, most importantly, staying engaged without distraction. Consistency builds...

BE YOURSELF AND THE WORLD WILL ADJUST

Image
By Thankgod Odanwu Everyday when I wake up in the morning, I say my prayers. Next I ask myself this question; Who am I? Firstly my main aim is to be myself: I dress the way I want to dress, I cut my hair the way I want it to be, use my body spray, I mean looking good and smelling nice is  a good business, and I walk out the door in hopes that my inner self will align with my external world. But most times, as much as I want to admit that I do some things for myself, I can’t help but wonder what others will think if I wear a certain piece of clothing or cut my hair a certain way. I don’t know why, but I can’t help but create these internal struggles that I can only see and feel. I don’t want to believe that these thoughts are my truths, but they sometimes take precedence, I mean one gets to feel he needs some sort of approval from those around them and their environment right? You see, while I don’t compare myself to others usually, I can’t help but feel that I have to act...
