BE YOURSELF AND THE WORLD WILL ADJUST

Image
By Thankgod Odanwu Everyday when I wake up in the morning, I say my prayers. Next I ask myself this question; Who am I? Firstly my main aim is to be myself: I dress the way I want to dress, I cut my hair the way I want it to be, use my body spray, I mean looking good and smelling nice is  a good business, and I walk out the door in hopes that my inner self will align with my external world. But most times, as much as I want to admit that I do some things for myself, I can’t help but wonder what others will think if I wear a certain piece of clothing or cut my hair a certain way. I don’t know why, but I can’t help but create these internal struggles that I can only see and feel. I don’t want to believe that these thoughts are my truths, but they sometimes take precedence, I mean one gets to feel he needs some sort of approval from those around them and their environment right? You see, while I don’t compare myself to others usually, I can’t help but feel that I have to act...

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR GREATNESS

Image
Look into the mirror, the person you're seeing is the most important person in your life. YES! If life is good for you, life will equally be good for your circle. Some might say that’s being selfish. Some might say what about family? But the truth is you owe it to your family to SET AN EXAMPLE. An example of someone who lives the life they want to live. A STRONG EXAMPLE of a strong human being.  You owe it to everyone you love to set an example of what a GREAT LIFE looks like. So they can follow in your footsteps. Settling for less. It STOPS with you. Accepting average. IT STOPS WITH YOU! Strength. Courage. Determination and a beautiful life.... that starts with you! You can’t help anyone until you help yourself. And when you make YOU strong, that strength will spill over to everyone else. They will be inspired by you, they will follow your example. Some say to focus on yourself is selfish… I say, to settle for a mediocre life you hate is selfish! Because that will be replicated fo...

SELF-ESTEEM - HOW TO OVERCOME LOW SELF-ESTEEM

SELF-ESTEEM: HOW TO OVERCOME LOW SELF-ESTEEM Self-esteem refers to a person's beliefs about their own worth and value. It encompasses the feelings people experience as a result of their sense of worthiness or unworthiness. It is an integral part of how individuals perceive themselves and interact with the world. Self-esteem is crucial because it influences people's choices, decisions, and motivations. It serves as a driving force that makes individuals more or less likely to take care of themselves and strive to reach their full potential. HIGH AND LOW SELF-ESTEEM People with high self-esteem are motivated to take care of themselves and persistently strive toward achieving their personal goals and aspirations. They believe in their worth and capabilities, which makes them resilient and more likely to overcome adversity. In contrast, individuals with low self-esteem often feel unworthy of happiness or success. They may have the same aspirations as those with high self-esteem but...

LOOK WITHIN AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

Image
While growing up as a kid, My Daddy & Mama taught me that I am responsible for my own actions. “This is my doings, I am responsible”. Now I understand better. Every action taken has an equal and opposite reaction. Your thoughts and actions are the seeds you sow, which you have to reap at some time or the other.  You cannot look at a mango fruit and ask where it came from.  Surely, one must have sown the seeds now growing in the garden of their life at some point. Galatians 6:7 - "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows". Proverbs 9:12 - "If you are wise, you will be wise for yourself: but if you scoff, you alone will bear it". Take a very good look at yourself and pay a great attention to your life, you will realise that nothing is happening to you accidentally in life.  Everything is being arranged and orchestrated by you, and by your sub-conscious meticulously.  Yes, you might find it difficult to believe at first and questions like ...
